...even par round for Mike would have most of us thinking that would be good enough but alas, not enough...Still BF made the cut on the number and GDL has a shot at the trophy so...play well you 2 :D

If DeLaet pars #9 and they go off in 3-somes tomorrow he will get Ogilvy & Westwood...spotlight group??

With 75 players making the cut, they may do twosomes. If they go in threes - birdie on 9 and he's in the final group.

They're going in twos - so GDL will have to suffer with the distractions of Boo all day - penultimate pairing at 1:30 pm ET.

Personally a good test for Mike and not negative at all as I said before he is close.
And for tomorrow Brad got in and was disappointed with his round, GDL played like a pro nothing spectacular but a good steady round I hope he just keeps on keeping on and to me although Mike is not here on this board tomorrow I know he is rooting for those guys as well! hey guys stay on board this is fun I liked BF's report on himself today!

BF starts his day with a bogey ... hopefully will not let that dictate how his day goes?

Hole: 1 Par: 4
Shot 1 242 yds to left rough, 116 yds to hole
Shot 2 129 yds to right green side bunker, 67 ft to hole
Shot 3 29 ft to right fairway, 39 ft to hole
Shot 4 38 ft to green, 21 in. to hole
Shot 5 in the hole

cloudy ...freezing cold ...15- 20mph sustained winds ... not good for the early starters :o

Edit: except for woods, who birdies #1 and #3 to start

I'm a huge fan of Rory McIlroy, but was really, really disappointed when he ditched the ball and equipment (Titleist) that he'd used to win majors, and become #1 in the world. Why would he change what got him there, other than to 'chase the money'?

Now he's getting reamed across all segments of the media, and even listening to players, its pretty clear no one is buying the 'tooth fairy' after-the-fact story as the main reason for his WD.

Hopefully he'll get his act together soon. :?

Missed most of Mike's round yesterday except for seeing him almost jar his iron shot on his last hole. Does anyone know if that was his third or second shot? I'm assuming he made the putt but scorecard only showed a par and he needed birdie for the cut. Don't think they showed the last putt on tv. Was he in trouble off the tee?

An interesting article by Rub on the mud ball issue yesterday. Thursday was lift clean and place, Friday was play as is.....

as for weirsy I able to follow you guys and gals a bit from work yesterday. He was so close to making the cut but I am happy to see he is playing more competitive as the weeks roll along. Breakout time as putting a solid 4 rounds together will hopefully come soon, the masters would be a good place to do it :D

the near hole out was his 3rd, which he needed for birdie to make the cut. He was in the primary rough off the tee on this hole as well as on #8, and short (ie 200+ to green for his 2nd)... needing birdie on one of the two to advance. He had to lay up on both his final holes.

Thanks Jim, when I saw that third shot my pulse quickened! Hopefully GDL will give us something to get excited about today.
